ABOUT ME

My journey into the field of counselling began with a placement at Willow Therapy, an experience that I cherish. I am grateful to return to this beautiful space and team again after gaining over 10 years of experience working with young people aged 11 and above, both in schools and agencies.  My experience and past roles evolved from being a counsellor to coordinating and overseeing the work of trainee counsellors, which included managing significant safeguarding concerns.

Subsequently, I embarked on building my private practice, where I work with young people, adults, and in addition I see couples. My passion for this field is deeply rooted in my belief that family and relationships are at the heart of what motivates me to continue as a counsellor.

I am passionate about creating a safe and nurturing space where individuals can engage in a therapeutic relationship.
This enables us to explore together and to make sense of and navigate life's challenges and dreams in a fulfilling and beneficial way.

My approach is integrative, drawing from various modalities. At the core, I utilize a person-centered (humanistic) framework. Each client is seen as unique and central to our therapeutic relationship.
I incorporate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, which addresses the interplay between thoughts, behaviours, and feelings. Transactional Analysis also provides helpful tools to enhance self-awareness, improve communication, foster ownership, and gain new perspectives.

Throughout my work, I strive to be relatable and build strong relational connections with my clients, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes in their lives.

I have a full enhanced DBS and indemnity insurance along with BACP accredited membership. A list of CPD and qualifications is available on request. I am registered on the Counselling Directory. I work with children 11+, adults and couples.
