ABOUT ME

My name is Andrea, I’m a qualified integrative counsellor offering a warm, empathic and compassionate approach to therapy for children, young people and adults.

As a neurodivergent therapist, I’ve worked under the Willow umbrella since 2022 and have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

I am aware how hard it can be to reach out and get support, therefore I have a great deal of respect for anyone who recognises they are struggling and chooses to step into counselling. Asking for help can take courage and bravery.

I'm here to listen, support and empower you to improve your own wellbeing. Within my sessions I offer time and space, calm and sensitivity. All sessions are confidential and non-judgemental.

Prior to my training as a counsellor, I worked for 30-plus years within Social Services, the NHS and various Charity organisations supporting children and adults who had learning disabilities/ difficulties, Autism/ ADHD and mental health issues.

Integrative counselling means I am able to apply a variety of different approaches to the therapeutic relationship with a person-centred approach being at its core. Willow sessions run for 60 minutes face-to-face or on Zoom and can be short or long-term in duration. For some people giving eye contact or talking for a length of time can be difficult and that’s ok. There are a variety of resources on offer to use within the room such as art materials, games, crystals, Lego and more. We can sit on chairs or on the floor, whatever you need to feel comfortable and safe within the room.

I have a fully enhanced DBS, carry indemnity insurance, and am a registered member of BACP.
