What Is Clinical Supervision?

I am a Qualified supervisor registered under the BACP. I studied to Diploma level for my supervision qualification. I place great emphasis on supporting supervisee's to navigate their own journey within their therapeutic or clinical supportive role.

I work within Willow Therapy a practice I have developed and grown over the past 12 years. Prior to this I was a clinical therapist and a holistic teacher.

I draw on my experiences of working in NHS hospitals, hospices, schools and academies over the past 20 years. I now work with families adults and children. I have worked alongside CAMHS and CAFCAS as agencies.

I work with families in crisis and am able to support clients with further links to outside agencies. This knowledge and experience is utilised when supporting my supervisee's on their own journey with their clients.

I work from several theoretical models when supporting you as a counsellor. I am an integrative counsellor and added my family training with the Adlerain college. I draw on these modalities when working with my supervisee's.

Supervision can be a place where a living profession breathes and learns
-  Hawkins and Shohet  -

I lead a group of affiliate practitioners here at Willow and appreciate the Importance of a good connection, communication and holding support. I value the learning I too gain from my supervisor and place great emphasis on our professional and therapeutic relationship. Whilst always monitoring safety, safe practice and ethical practice. I equally place great value on learning and theory, weaving this into our work when needed and appropriate.

I have a keen interest in supporting counsellors to set up their own private practice.

Please do contact me for a conversation regarding your supervision needs.

Jane B Supervisee

I have been working with Becky since October 2021, and during that time, we have built up a good working relationship. Becky is supportive of my work and encourages me to step outside my comfort zone to take on new challenges. She is not afraid to challenge me on the frequent occasions that I question my skill and ability.

I work as a school counsellor, and Becky is a great teacher and brings her extensive knowledge of working with children, young people and their families into our supervision.  She is very experienced in supporting families through the Family Courts and has a wealth of knowledge and ideas on working with young people, which she shares, and I can then, in turn, use within my own practice.

She is particularly good at supporting with contracting, safeguarding and policy making and ensuring that I am keeping myself protected as well as the client. Becky has a lovely, gentle manner and is extremely approachable, and I would highly recommend her as a supervisor.  I have complete trust in her and am very grateful for all the support that she gives me. Thank you, Becky!

Ines Knezevic Supervisee (Congruent Therapy)

I really enjoy having Becky as my supervisor because she creates a supportive and encouraging space whilst also being very direct and honest in a way that helps me grow professionally. She challenges me thoughtfully, holds me accountable, and encourages me to reflect more deeply on both my client work and myself as a practitioner.

I really value the balance she brings between challenge and support, as I always feel encouraged whilst also being pushed to develop further. Becky is also incredibly generous with her knowledge and resources, often sharing multiple helpful materials immediately after our meetings, which has been hugely valuable for my learning and development. Her breadth of knowledge, responsiveness, and willingness to offer practical support make supervision feel both grounding and growth-oriented.
