I Simply Couldn't Help Myself.

Updated: Feb 13, 2022

Writing and journaling away like a beaver I sent off one of my blogs on a whim to The Counsellors Cafe Magazine.

They loved it asking to publish it!! Woohoo! So I don't talk waffle after all! Well maybe a bit...

I'm also wading through safeguarding training online. I know heavy duty stuff for holiday watching. But this is incredibly important in my job to keep updated in order to safeguard and protect vulnerable people.

I've learnt so much looking at safeguarding 16 to 25 year olds. 18 to 25 year olds are often not covered in many safeguarding courses.

So.

I'm still here.

Still admiring the beauty of Barbados.

Living and Loving island life.

And prepping ready for a return to work fully ready to support counsellors, trainees, students and clients.

I've also listened to the fascinating podcast on trauma by Gabor Mate. Not your average holiday listen. But coupled with a beautiful book I'm reading Songbirds by Christy Lefteri courtesy of Trings Our Bookshop I'm a happy bunny! And I've some emotional and heartwarming yet hilarious tales of falling down.

I just need to brace myself to write them.
